Everyone has their own unique qualities and automotive modification isn’t much different. It’s how enthusiasts choose to be different and stand out from the average Joe. With many styles of modification coming and going, the stance scene in Australia is growing rapidly so Peter decided to jump on the stance bandwagon and choose a car that isn’t usually modified, a 2010 Mazda 3 MPS.
Having previously owned a turbo Holden Commodore pushing out 270kW, Peter decided it was time to let go of the Commodore and jump right into the newly coming stance scene and what a better way to start than with a new car. After spending countless hours on the internet and viewing many cars he came across a Mazda 3 MPS. The car had everything Peter was looking for, it had the looks, the luxury and the power but what made this Mazda different is that the Australian stance scene was yet to see one that had been ‘stanced’. With only a lip kit added to the factory body, Peter was able to achieve his desired look simply and easily.
The boys over at Tune House Racing installed THR Spec R + KW Variant Coilovers along with Whiteline swaybars to give the car a nice static height.
Wheel choice is something that either makes or breaks the car so Peter decided to run with 18×9 +25 Advan RSD wheels wrapped in 225/45 Yokohama S drives.
Being a new car means it has its advantages such as being equipped with the latest technology and stunning features such as the sleek red and blue neon glow the dash gives when lit up.
What is a car with all show and no go? Beauty and personality go hand in hand so Peter decided that the factory tuned 190kW wasn’t enough so he took the Mazda back to the boys over at Tune House Racing to install a bigger turbo. Unfortunately the day after the photo shoot, a HKS Legamax exhaust was added which increased the power output of this crazy MPS to 240kW.
Future plans include a Limited Slip Differential, more low, camber tops and to top it all off, this crazy MPS could be seeing a Cosworth head in the future!
A massive thanks to our new crew member, Aleks. B for the photos!
